In need of a Support group
There is a support group that meets in Milwaukee on Saturdays, I think. I don't believe that is is affiliated with any specific hospital's group. I have a meeting tonight at my surgeon's support group, and I know some of those people are members of the Milwaukee group, too. I'll ask and get the information for you.

I found this on the internet, I'm sure it is the group I've heard about:
Their notation on Vitalady.com says:
contact persion is Lori Watson Schumann, [email protected], 414-467-7559.
"Meetings are the last Saturday of the month, 9 a.m. at Mayfair Mall, 2500 N Mayfair Rd., in the food court near the grand paino. It is open to all WLS people, pre and post op. No fee. The group is casual and friendly."

Oh, trash that last email, I don't think it is accurate any more.
If you look on the listed website, it says that:
The Monthly Milwaukee Weight Loss Surgery support group meeting (also known as MilwaukeeWLS)
This group is open to everyone and meets at 10:00 am on the last Saturday of each month. We meet at Champion Chicken on 88th and Lisbon. The restaurant doesn't open until 11:00 so we have the place to ourselves. At approximately 11:15 we will be seated at tables to continue conversations. If anyone chooses to stay for lunch, we can order lunch at that time or 11:30.
You are welcome to bring Children to this meeting, We just ask that you bring activities for them. They can be seated together at tables to they'll have others around!
Thanks so much to Champion Chicken for allowing us to use their space!!!
The Monthly Milwaukee Weight Loss Surgery Dinner Meeting
This group is open to everyone and meets at 6:00 pm on the second Monday evening of each Month at Champion Chicken. We ask that you send an email to the group if you plan to attend this meeting as we try to make reservations. They have been very accommodating with our special requests for orders and split bills! It is a good old fashioned family run business!
I've not dug around on the website more, so there might be more information on there.
Good luck,
Sue O.
