WOW! It's Really Going to Happen!

I'm so excited! I leave on Thursday 6/9 for Monterrey MX, where Dr. Rumbaut will do surgery on me on Monday 6/13!! I can't wait to have the bypass surgery and move forward with my life. I hope that I can find a support group in the Madison area to meet with upon my return home. Please let me know if you are in such a group. Or lets just start our own! Renee'

Good for you Renee'. Dean Clinic has a support group on the 2nd Monday of every month at the West Clinic location. It is $25 per year. Most of the patients there are RNY. I do believe they have a LAP Band support group but don't know when it is. I'm in the process of getting a group going also. It has been LONG awaited for. However, I do believe we have a meeting place in Waunakee. Let me know if you are intersted in info when I know more. ONce I know more I will also be posting it on the board. Gala

Gala - I will be having LAP - RNY on Monday June 13th!!! Did I mention I'm having RNY next Monday yet? Oh I am so excited I can't hardly stand it. Thanks for the info on both groups. I hope to visit them when I get home. I must admit that having others around that understand this whole process is something that I think will make a big difference for me.
