I just had surgery 2 1/2 weeks ago, when is it safe to go back to water aerobics? I feel like I am wasting crucial fat burning time here!

It would depend on how healed your incisions are. I was advised against submerging them in water until I was 1 month out. Even then, I had a small scab on one of them that dissolved easily if I got it wet. I'd check with your surgeon first. sue O.

My doctor told me to wait 1 month as well. But then I had the scab dissolving problem too. That was really annoying. So I gave it another couple weeks. Finally the incisions are healed over now at 2 months and I no longer have the scab problem. Personally, I would just focus on walking now.

Speaking of scabs and incisions... how long until these heal. I dont feel like the drain tube site will ever heal. I do have scabs on 3 of the sites the other 2 healed.... geeeez it is taking forever! lol

I didn't have a drain tube, so I don't know about that one. One of mine was healed almost the same week as surgery. It held together really well. Then the really small one after about 2 weeks, another at about a month. The other 2 were stubborn and didn't heal till about 7 weeks. I'm a little over 2 months now and 2 are still a bit scabby, but nothing where they get overly soft and open up when wet. More like dried surface skin. Some people's take much longer though.
