stomach pains

I'm still having trouble with food and water. Can anyone help? I have a lot of gas when eating and drinking. Otherwise I'm okay! I'm returning to work next week. I need to get some fluids in me, for the last two days my intake has been a total of 50oz! As soon as the food or water enters my stomach, there's pain. I don't feel hunger at all. My three week appointment was last Tuesday. Sue said this is normal, but I must drink. I'm taking Tums, doesn't help. Any suggestions???

Is Sue your doctor or the nurse? I do have some gas when eating -- I burp, probably from eating too fast or not chewing enough. I have never had pain with eating or drinking, however, that doesn't sound normal to me. I'd be worried about a developing ulcer. Did you talk to your doctor about this? Maybe you need to take something stronger than Tums, like Prilosec. Sue O.

I had the same problem with the pain and my doctor ran alot of tests and they found ulcers they scoped me they also found out my opening was a little small I'm on ulcer medicine and am doing better not a 100% yet hope this helps also try eating smaller bites and eating slower
