I got a date

I'm so excited, I got my surgery date set for June 15th. I'm scheduled for lap RNY. Does anyone have anything that I should ask or do before my preop apointment (6-7-05). Also, is it NORMAL to want to talk about this surgery all the time?

Hey Kristina Congratulations!!! We are just a day apart, My surgery is June 14. I had my preop today and thought of the questions in the shower this morning. They will come to you. My doc's nurse said to pack a bathrobe. I will have to go shopping. All I sleep in are t-shirts and the wont be too good in the hospital! I don't know if its normal to want to talk about it allk the time, I can tell you I feel less than normal cause its all I can think about. I'm not getting much relief from work...at night I am endlessly doing research and talkjng to my hub and best friend. What a roller coaster, eh?? Just glad we both can be ABNORMAL together! Jen

Kristina, Congrats on your "date"! I am excited for you. Of course it is normal for you to talk about it all the time..I still do and I am officially a year out now...It is a new life for us, a new start, who wouldnt want to talk about that!!
