Ally, I live near the Illinois/Wisconsin border, in Pecatonica, illinois. I am just beginning this process. I know OF people who have had the op, but i do not know personally any of them. I have many questions. I met a surgeon yesterday. He wants to see me back in two weeks. He says he wants me to start dieting to show I am serious. I would love to talk with someone about this. The surgeon I consulted with has been doing this two years. He has done 18 surgeries with no complications. There are other bariatric treatment centers near me that specialize in only bariatrics. The only problem is ....they felt like ...infomercials. In choosing a surgeon and a place....what are the most important elements? The two treatment center places....one is about an hour from here...the other about half hour....the surgeon I visited is about fifteen minutes away. The only reason distance is a thought is the aftercare.....the support groups..... What do you think?
