Pre-Op Nutritionist Visits?

I am at the stage where I have been o.k.'d for WLS by my surgeon, but need (his required) release from a Psychiatrist and Nutritionist before he will send the referral to my insurance company. Does anyone know if the Nutritionist will release me right away? Or will I need to see her several times? Of course, I am anxious to get this moving along, especially since my surgeon will be deploying for Iraq in May!

The nutritionist shouldn't be a problem. Usually you see them once and they give you tips on how to eat pre-op and discuss the post-op diet with you. Not a big deal. The psychiatrist thing usually is a one or max 2 visit thing, unless they don't like what they find.
