Finally going to make the call (Wausau)

Hey All I have dropped by here on a couple occasions, and gotten some good advice. I have finally decided to take the plunge and call the surgical associates here in wausau on monday, to get the ball rolling, so to speak. I am so depressed right now, because I did ultra-lo-carb for 8 months and lost a mere 50 lbs for my wedding back in october. It was SOOO hard, and every time i diet now it comes off slower and slower. I got down to about 270 for the wedding, but now, after 3 months of being off the diet I am sure I have gained back every pound. I feel gross, and desperate. *sigh* any advice would be totally appreciated!! ~Christy

Hi Christy, Well I had my surgery with Dr Weiland of Wausau Surgical Ass. back in Dec 2003, I am not sorry one bit for having it done and I have lost over 140lbs so far I have a long road ahead yet but it has been so worth it. But it is a whole new way of life, I had the RNY open gastric bypass, and there are times its hard to say NO you cant eat that; but I wouldnt change it for a minute. Feel free to ask any questions you have..this is a great site and I have also learned so much from others it has helped me greatly. A key support system is a big plus and almost a must for this surgery; you need others who can back you and help you get through the rough times when you want to eat and cant have it.
