I have to see a surgeon next friday the 31st to see about having my gallbladder out.I had looked into this at the beginnning of the year and had all my paperwork done but insurance denied it.And then we switched insurances.Since i have to have my gallbladder out do you think the dr if I ask could do gastric bypass or even lapband.Anything.I have sysco insurance cause i work for agnesian in fond du lac meaning i am part of st. agnes i have heard some people have had it done there.Does anyone know if the surgeon would or would recommend someone and if my insurance would do it.I have had lots of major medical problems this year and some of my family already have had it done.Desprite i will even settle for the lap band to give me a head start. Please any input.

I have heard of people having gastric bypass done at the same time as gall bladder surgery. If you're self pay it can save you money cuz the insurance should pay for the gall bladder removal and everything associated with that, and there's a lot of overlap so it would definitely save you money. I don't know of surgeons in your area, unfortunately. I live in far southern WI.
