What would you say to co-workers?

I have been out of work for 8 weeks for gastric bypass and some other complications and now I will be going back to work tomorrow. However, I didn't tell anyone there except my boss about it and I was wondering what others would say when they ask me if I have had gastric bypass surgery? See, I am not real good friends with anyone there. They just look for things in people to talk about. I just try to do my work and leave, so I am not friends with anyone except one lady and I knew her before I started to work there. So I was thinking that I would say that I didn't say anything to anyone because my weight problem is my personal problem and no one could help me with it but me. How does that sound? Email me if you have any other suggestions. [email protected]. Thanks. Toni

Well, being out for 8 weeks would sort of indicate you were out, ill, wouldn't it? If they notice, and you don't want to tell them, say the loss was due to your illness.

I had surgery a year ago and the only people who know are my husband and oldest daughter. When people ask I just tell them I'm watching my carb intake and am eating a lot of protein,it's nobodys business but yours.
