I am scheduled for RNY on Nov. 4th w/ Dr. Wallace at Froedtert in Milwaukee. I have a pre-op class on Monday the 25th and was just wondering if anyone else was going. Thanks, Melissa

Hi Melissa, I am not approved yet......but I am having my surgery with Dr. Wallace too. I'm hoping to get approved any day now. I'd be interested in hearing how it all goes for you since we have the same surgeon. Good Luck with your surgery!!! Marsha

Hi Marsha~ I had my pre-op testing yesterday and I feel SOO much better about everything now. I was starting to get nervous. I met w/ the anesthologist( sp??) and she was wonderful. Even the nurse that did my EKG was awesome. SHe was sooo encourgaing and supportive. She said usually she works on the floors so I may see her after surgery. I thought that was nice of her to mention since it will be nice to see a familiar face. Everyone I have dealt w/ in Dr. Wallace's team has been outstanding!!! I will be keeping my profile updated so feel free to check and see how my progress is. keep me posted about when your surgery is. When did you go for the intial class to meet Dr. Wallace and learn about WLS?? I went in May, I think it was May 24th. Well good luck and God Bless, Melissa

Hi Melissa, Just wanted to wish you the very best with your upcoming surgery! Dr. Wallace is an excellent surgeon as if everyone so kind in their office. The pre-op class is nice as it gives you a chance to ask questions and find out exactly what is going to happen to you the day of surgery and what to expect. It will be nice to meet others going through surgery with you around the same time! Maybe when you take a walk in the hospital, you will run into a "pre-op class buddy". Congratulations and I will be thinking of you! Traci
