Support Meetings

Hey, Does anyone know of any support meetings for the surgery in Madison, WI area?? I had my surgery Apirl6th, and recently moved to Madison.. Would love to find a support meeting to go to. I have gone severly off track and want me and my girlfriend to get back on track and get some good supporters. Please if anyone has any information for me Id love it. Email me @ [email protected]

There are several that I know of. I know that the Dean Clinic has them once a month - first Monday of every month for everyone. It is held at 630pm-830pm at the Dean Clinic-West. They also have one on the 3rd Thursday of every month for post ops only - and that is at the Dean CLinic East. You have to register which you can do the day of the meeting. It costs 25 dollars per year. I know there is a Yahoo Group that has a meeting or two in Madison. I used to belong to it before I had my surgery. I have contemplated starting another one for post ops and pre-ops w/a date in the madison area. I live about 40-45 min from Madison and come to Madison nearly weekly. Anyone else in the Madison area intersted in starting one would be great. My idea would be more just as a "socialization" thing vs the topic related ones. Gala, That sounds like a great idea... When I lived in ohio, they had a leader.. But most importantly I need support and keeping me on track.. I have been doing awful in this area.. and I know if I have some support system besides my girlfriend... Which I live with... We are both doing awful. I just hit 6 months today, and have only lost 60-65 pounds.. It is so depressing.. I feel I should have lost way more then that.. I really need to get back on track, and figure out what all I should be eatting.. I have problems because i am such a picky eatter.. Thank you.
