Newbie, first appt Dr. Chiang

Hi all, I'm a real newbie and am scared to death, but I gritted my teeth yesterday and called to set up an appointment for the initial consultation. I will be seeing Dr. Chiang and the Bariatric Institute of Wisconsin. The office was great! and actually so was my insurance company, especially when I was able to provide my BMI. They immediately stated "medically necessary." What I've read so far is somewhat comforting. This is not the doc my primary recommended, but he doesn't do lap band, and that is my interest at this point in time. I am also familiar with Elmbrook Hospital and have had a couple of surgeries there previously. Chris

Hi Chris, Dr. Chiang did my lap band surgery and my husband's. I can't say enough about him. He takes the time to explain everything and answers all questions - he is so patient and caring, and funny! Congrats on your insurance being so cooperative! Feel free to e-mail me anytime ~ I am about 6 weeks post op, and my husband is 9 weeks post op We also had incredible experiences at Elmbrook - the nurses and everyone there are so caring and it shows! I also had Dr. Chiang as my surgeon. Another plus is that he's not too hard on the eyes!

Hahhahahah I think he's might fine looking, too! I was telling my friend about him and she thought I was nuts - til she saw him at one of the seminars
