Roll Call...where are you from?

Hi Everyone, Thanks to all of you for responding to my post. It's nice to meet people from my own state!!! It's good to know I'm not alone here. As I said in some of the other responses, I have not been approved yet. I am midway thru testing. I had some pulmonary embolisms back in May and my PCP says no surgery for 6 months.......so I'm looking at November. I have had my initial consult with the surgeon (Dr. James Wallace at Froedert), had my stress test and sleep study. I passed the stress test, but found I have sleep apnea. I stopped breathing 83 times in one hour!! YIKES!!! So me and my CPAP have become intimate friends.... I have my psych eval on Thursday and see a hematologist that same day at Froedert. I'm seeing him because of my hereditary predisposition to clots (which, by the way scares the hell out of me!). About a week before surgery I will have to see a radiologist and have an IVC (Greenfield filter) inserted to help in prevention of clots traveling to my lungs or heart. If you ever read the memorial page, you will know why I'm so scared!!! So, that's me in a nut shell. Again, nice to meet all of you. Take care! Marsha

I am from New London. I had my WLS on 3/15/2004, and went from 3010 lbs to 215 in the past 5 months. So far all is great with this. I had mine done in Neenha.

WOW Tanya, you are doing GREAT!!!! Before you know it you will be under 200#. I got married when I weighed 200........thought I was FAT then. Now I would be extremely happy to be even close to 199. Best wishes. Glad it went well for you. Marsha

Hi Rose, I bet you are excited to be approved. I'm not yet, though I have completed all the testing required.....so I'm just waiting. Can't have surgery until November anyway....so I'm ok with this.
