new memb - RNY on 8/25/04 for GERD

My RNY was decided on and approved for GERD. My BMI was just 35, although I have high blood pressure. Interested in hearing from any similar experiences...especially these couple weeks before as I start to feel a little nervous. bj

I had a high BMI and Gerd. I have no Gerd now. Thank God. It used to be aweful. Wake me up in the middle of the night with a burning sensation in my throat. I never want to go back to that. I am 14 months post op and down 141 lbs. Never to go back again. Good luck with everything and if you have any questions let me know..Deb
