Hey Pj! Siblings and Wls
Hi Pj. I just wanted to congragulate you again on your approval, but also after reading your sister response to you here, I thought that I would let you know that I am also a sibling to a prior wls person. As a matter of fact I have 3 sisters who have had this surgery in the last year and a half. i will be #4. Because of the obesity in my family tree noone on the maternal side ever lived past their mid 60s. On that side my sister who is 54 is the oldest. She had her wls in Dec. We are going to make a differencee here, and beat those odds. I wonder if there is a messageboard for wls siblings? hmmmm? Fondly, Judy
Judy,
I think I have responded to this post but I can't find it so if I did I appologise for the repeats. (LOL) I am so spacey sometimes.. I must be great to have so much advice from your loved ones. I know I am thankfull to have Lora but I know sometimes older sisters can be a HUGE pain too but on the serious side I am lucky to have her because without her I am sure I would not have the strength to go through this. Good luck with your WLS journey and I am sure you and your sisters will win your fight and live a long healthy productive life.

I know this post is a little old but I wanted to respond anyways. Im from Minneapolis, originally from Wisconsin! (I miss it!) Anyways, Im 23, and I have a twin sister, the both of us are planning to have the surgery, as of now we're doing everything right in sync with eachother....appointments and all. Im slightly nervous that when we have the surgery it will be a competition to see who loses quicker etc? Was there anything like that between your sisters? I mean, a little competition is healthy I think? I dunno. Anyways, its so weird, but a great comfort that we are gonna do this together. Im glad you have the support of 3 sisters! Sounds like a big family, like mine, we have 8 of us siblings
ANyways, Just thought Id drop a note. I hope all is well with you and wish you much success in your future!
