2 yrs post op- all the weight is gone forever!
I am 2 years post op. After 1 year all of the weight was gone, but it is not an easy road. Find an exercise you can stick with for life and do it 4-5 times per week minimum. Count on a life-long low fat diet, and NEVER go back to your old eating habits, even if you take little bites. Little bites of the wrong foods will add up. Take vitamin supplements every day! During the first year post-op, it will be an experimental time with food. Your body will let you know what it can or can not tolerate. The biggest change you will notice besides your body size is the way people treat you. People don't intend to discriminate against obese people, but they do. The difference is amazing, especially with the opposite sex. Enjoy your new lease on life, and cherish every day being the new you!
