I haven't had surgery yet, but from what I can see for everyone else, your thinking is perfectly normal. It's a normal thing to have mixed feelings. I wish you the best of luck. Debby

Marilyn, A very wise person on this web site once told me, if God leads you to it, he will lead you thru it. I very much believe this is true. My prayers are with you and your family as you take your journey.

Hi Marilyn, I too had my ups and downs before my surgery, even the day as I was waiting for the Dr. to come and get me, I almost chickened out and went home, but I think a angle of a nurse heard me and gave me some thing so I would stay. And believe me it was the best thing that happened to me. I feel so good today, it has only been 4 months and I have lost so many lbs. and so many inches. I thank the good lord and the Dr. for giving me my life over again. So just hang in there and keep your chin up, the days will be wonderful and fast for you. Go in with a good atittude, and good things will become of it. I wish u all the best and will pray for you. Make sure u post your comming home , will surely like to know. Take care, Rosie

Hi Marilyn, All the emotions you are feeling are very normal. Just allow yourself to feel those and tell yourself daily that you are doing this for YOU! You deserve to be a healthy person, and this surgery will give you that opportunity! You are going to do terrific! Believe in yourself! With thoughts and prayers as your surgery date approaches!
