Low B12 Level B4 surgery

I was wondering if anyone had a low level before surgery and did it postpone your surgery? Mine is 161 so not too low but they want me to start getting monthly shots now before surgery. I just don't want anything to happen to postpone it.

Mine was very low before surgery so they have me on vitamins. I'm glad I don't have to do shots - I'm a big chicken. We picked up 1000 (I think microgram) pills and then some sublingual (under your tongue) for post surgery. Good luck with everything! I doubt they would postpone it. Just means they have to watch your levels post op. Amy

thanks for your advice and support, it doesn't look like things will postponed for me either Lori

I have to take B-12 via a nasal gel. It didn't slow my surgery at all. They just want to make sure you have optimal levels before surgery.
