Denied looking for information!!!!

Hi, I was denied today by Badger Care (straight title 19) for reasons unknown. I was wondering if any one has experienced this and actually submitted the appeal and the decision was reversed. I was told on several occasions as long as there was comorbidies and a doctors recomendation it would be approved but when it came down to it the decision was no. I was told I was an excellent candidate because I have a BMI of 40 with diabetes,high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sever sleep apnea, as well as back pain that will require more surgery if I dont loose weight. I have tried every thing to loose the weight several time with no results and feel this is my last chance to live a normal productive and full life. I am A 30 year old male and already have successfully completed all of the pre-op procedures and still have been denied. I was looking at the insurance portion of this website and there were individuals who were approved after the first atempt with less comorbidies. I am just curious if any one else has had this experience with Badger Care. Any repsonce would be greatly apprieciated. Thank you, PJ

They HAVE to give you a reason. Did they tell you that you were denied? OR did the drs office? If they told you this -- then call your dr. They will send a form to your dr and have reasoning on it. Gala

Yes I recieved a letter in the mail explaning That surgery was denied and was gave no reason. The letter stated that I should contact the provider to get help to file an appeal and the provider would be able to tell me the reasons for deniel. I am really fustrated at this point because I have called them several time before my initial consualtation and I was told several times if there was at least one comorbity and a doctor recomendation it was covered. I have seen several cases approved through Badgercare and was very hopefull I would not be denied. I called the provider's office and she was not availible untill Monday morning. So needless to say I was pulling my hair out all weekend. Through some research I found on Badger Care's website I can find no reason I should have been denied. I am lost and don't know what to do next. I guess it is all in God's hands now. All I can do is hope and pray for the best. Thank you for your response.
