I have a Surgery date

I just got my approval letter and today I called my surgeon's office this morning and they gave me a surgery date of June 3rd, Yeh! That surprised me, I expected a least till July but since June weddings, etc. makes it hard for them to book surgeries. This is going to be a busy next 2 weeks, I have a bone density test, a history & physical, a pre-op class and testing to do. That's good though, because I'll be occupied and won't be so focused on the actual surgery fears I have. I have never had serious surgery of and kind, the worst thing I've ever experienced is Lasik, and that was 20 minutes and stitches for a cut on my finger. Wish me luck!

Congratulations Gloria!!!! I hope that I will be as lucky at getting such a quick surgery date. I go for my consult this friday ( Dr. Burhop ) and I am so envious of you! You will be in good hands with Dr. Wallace, he has been at Froedtert for quite some time - I worked there for 7 years as a resp. therapist. Good Luck to you Sue

Congrats Gloria!! I am also scheduled for June. My final pre op testing is June 3 and my surgery is June 9th. I had booked a trip over Memorial weekend to Florida with my daughter and granddaughter otherwise I would be having surgery on June 3 also! Good luck!!

Hi Gloria I know the feeling! I was approved by my insurance company, received a phone call from them, then the surgeon's office and had my surgery scheduled for 10 days later - I felt like I won the lottery! I am now 4 days post-op and feel pretty darn good. Take it easy, take it slow - you may not feel so hot in the hospital (I had a migraine on top of everything else) but can't believe how good I feel only 4 days later! My surgeon was Dr. Wallace at Froedtert in Milwaukee. I'm impressed with him and the entire program. Good luck to you!!
