I have security health plan. I didn't have to write a letter. My doctor took care of that for me. After all my appointments were done all the info was sent to my surgeon and he wrote the letter to insurance. Took about 2 weeks from clearance to get the letter written and to the insurance company. Then once insurance had it in their hands, took less than 24 hours for approval! You can document all your family history and ask doctor to include it with his/hers.. Haven't heard of too many that don't need a letter from doc. GOOD LUCK kat lap-RNY 4/23/04 -15
