To quiet...
We need to get this board spruced up!! It is WAY to quiet. The main board is to big for me. To many posts to keep track of. I'm not 50 and so I dont' belong there and I don't have a surgery date yet so I can't go to the post up.
I would love it if the WI board could spruce up. We don't have to talk all WLS. Heck we have lives, children, families, and other things that we can chat about....
So anyone up to the challenge??

I agree, the main message board is nuts. I only read the WI board now since it is less congested. I try to get on the message board every couple days. I think I met your DH at last months Platteville support group meeting. I am happy to hear he was approved w/Rebchook. I hope you will be able to make it to the support meetings in Platteville sometime. They open it to anyone, not just Rebchook's patients. I am 9 months post op and have lost just over 85#'s. It has been very slow the past several months, partially due to my eating habits. I am still glad I had the surgery and would do it again in a heartbeat if I had to. I wish you the best of luck getting things approved and moving. Are you going thru a DR in Madison? I know it took me about 3 months to get my paperwork done and approved and then 2 months to wait for a surgery date. BUT all in all well worth the wait. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Hi Vicky,
James was at last months meeting in Platteville so you most likely met him. There is a picture of him on my profile. I may come to the meetings there once we get a regular babysitter lined up. I have been going to the Dean Clinic meetings. I am seeing Dr. Sunby from Dean Clinic. James and I both started this process back in December....with the same Dr. Then I got fed up w/Dean Clinic and had a consult w/Dr. Rebchook. Made the appts and everything for evals...ended up giving them to James. That was 2 months ago. He had appts set up w/the Miller and Diatitian but mine were sooner. I decided to keep up w/Sunby because it "appeared" that they were getting the ball moving. However, at this point it isn't. I am borderline contacting Miller and Diatary in Platteville very soon!! My Prior Auth has been sent back numerous times. My phone calls are not returned. The sad part is...I picked Dr. Sunby not his coordinator/team! I love Dr. Sunby dearly. He is my best friends Dr. She spent 4 months in St. Mary's last fall because of an gall bladder turned pancretitis -- I talked w/Sunby on numerous occassions during her hospital stay. Soo -- here I sit.
Do you live in Mineral Point?? I work at the Bargain Nook there. If you ever come in just ask for Gala. I'm there generally Thur and Friday's and occassional weekends. This week more beacuse a co-worker's grandson was killed in motorcycle accident, another one's grandson had surgery and my boss is on vacation. So I have picked up some extra hours.
Have a Good Day. Gala
I live outside Mineral Point towards Belmont. We buildt a house on Lost Grove Rd about 2 years ago. I remember your DH James from our last meeting. I think the support group meetings are very good for the mind. Sometimes I get frustrated and then I attend a meeting and find the support I need to keep going. I hope you get your approval soon. I know waiting is about the hardest part of the entire process. Does James have his date yet? I remember when I finally got my approval, there was about a 2 month waiting list to have surgery in Platteville. Dr. Rebchook is an excellent surgeon, very quiet, but GOOD. I hope that your surgeons in Madison get things together for you soon. I am looking forward to shorts this summer....first in a long time.
I do know where the Bargain Nook is, been there a long time ago. I should stop in just because I am sure they have clothes I would be fitting into now and would not cost me a fortune. I do enjoy shopping at Walmart now, since Lane Bryant is officially not my first choice for clothes anymore.
Take care and keep us posted on your progress with your approval. You can email me at my home email anytime with questions. (or if James has any ?? after his surgery) [email protected]
