Does anyone know of Support Groups in the Milwaukee or MAdison area? I live in Hartland (halfway between MKE and Madison) and am having WLS done in Illinois sooooooooooooooo - I'm presently support group-less and I think participating would help me. Any suggestions? Thanks (who is SO hoping that it won't rain until later today so that I can get my lawn mowed (for the THIRD day straight)), Ann P.S. It's those little goals like mowing that are keeping me going

I know of two in Madison. One is at Meriter Hosp the first tuesday of every month from 7-9pm. The second place is Dean I think it is the first or second Monday of every month. That one has a $25/year membership fee. meriter is free and great. I personally go to the Meriter group...Deb

Hi Ann: My surgeon (Dr. Nicholas Armstrong) is in Milwaukee (St. Lukes), and has a support group meeting once a month, the 3rd Tuesday of the month, 6:30 p.m. at the Science Building just behind the hospital. I don't have the exact address any more, I just know where to go. For more information, you can contact his assistant, Suzy Hunt at (414) 649-3240. Dr. Armstrong is awesome and so is everyone in his office. Hope this helps! Blessings on your upcoming surgery! Marie B. -24#

HI ann, I go to a support group from Froedert Hospital on watertown plank road in wauwatosa/milwaukee. It meets the last monday of every month at 6pm cept this month they are meeting on the 24th at 6 due to memorial day. It's ran by the nurse at Froedert, and it's a wonderful group of people, people that have had the surgery there and also people that haven't. Did you have your surgery at BTC? My mom had it there 4 years ago. Hope this helped!
