I am 51 and 3 months post op, I have lost 62 lbs. I live in the Kenosha area and I am looking for a plastic surgeon to do a breast lift. First I would like to know if anyone knows a good surgeon in the area ? Second, would anyone know if it would be wiser to wait until I reach goal or could I have it done now ? Any comments or opinions on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Christine, You should wait till you get close to goal. Your body will change significantly over the next year. I had my surgery May 19, 2003. I have lost 105 pounds. I was very big busted and am shrinking pretty fast. I have tons of wrinkles and my breast just disappear when I lay on my back. I need a tummy tuck and breast lift. Doctors prefer to do the tummy tuck first as this makes a huge impact on how your breasts look. They typically do the breast lift or what have you, last. I would wait if I was you. Don't pu**** you are still recovering from the bypass. It takes 3 months for your tummy to heal inside. Relax and enjoy the rollercoaster down! Missy

Christine, Most plastic surgeons won't even consider surgery for at least one year post op. ( I am not sure I would consider a surgeon that would do it at 3 months) You definately want to be at your goal weight before surgery. This will give you a better idea of what surgeries you want or need worst. It will also give you more time to document reasons to have insurance pay for it. GOOD LUCK

Thank you so much for your replys. My problem is not that I have large breast, I am a 38 C, it's just that they are so droopy. What I would need is something that would lift them and make them look more like "boobs' than deflated ballons ! Chris
