I have to write a letter ...

I have to write a letter to my insurance co. appealing the exclusion on the surgery. If anyone has any ideas of what to include in the letter to help sway their decicion, let me know. I meet with my pcp to go over his notes tomorrow, then I will send them along with my letter. I was thinking of including the cost of heart bypass and a 2 day stay in the hospital if I were to have a heart attack, to show them they are better off paying for the surgery now, than having to pay for other services later on. Mary, I'm sorry I don't have much to give you on this but if you include anything that proves medical necessity for you to have this surgery you should be good. I'm not saying they might approve it, however the more the better. Good luck! Shawna

Thanks Shawna, I am working on a letter to go along with my pcp letter. I am also including stats on obesity, along with all my ailments. I hope they cover this. I will go down fighting! Thanks again Mary
