Surgery on April 19th

Hi Everyone, Well my day is finally here. I go in on Monday morning at 5:00AM. for surgery.(Lap RNY) I have been tring for the last 2 1/2 yrs. to get the WLS surgery. I have to pay for the surgery due to Ins. CO. not paying for it. But with the help of my lawyer I hope to get the money back. Went to the bank to get loan for 32,000 to cover the cost of everything. Lota money but everyone that I have talked to have told me that it will be the best money that I have ever spent. I think that their right I feel good about what I will have done and I know that this is going to help me with my health issues a lot. That's the main thing I want and I want to live longer to see my kids grow up.Just got back from my last pre-op consult the DR. said that evertything is OK! all my test were normal. Which makes me feel a lot better. Just want to post this message and to let everyone know to keep fighting for your health and happiness. God bless you all!

Just wondering how your surgery went and also, where did you have it done at? I am just in the beginning stages of paperwork for the surgery, I have attended my first informational meeting and now on April 27th, I will be attending my first support group, the group is for three stages of people, people who are going to have the surgery, people who are having the surgery and people who have had the surgery. So you get all different views from everyone! I am from Burlington, I see you are from Walworth, the groups I am attending are for anyone and at Lakeland Hospital in Elkhorn, hope all went well with your surgery, let me know how you are doing!
