Newbie

Hi. I haven't posted to the Wisconsin forum before. I will be four weeks post op tomorrow having had lap band placement by Dr. Georgen and Dr. Wasco in Neenah on March 18. It is so neat to see there are people in my own area that have had WLS. My weight is down about 20 pounds but I don't have my first adjustment until April 27. I can't wait for that as I don't have much restriction yet, although my hub says I am eating a LOT less. Because I feel full, I guess it seems to me that I am eating a lot. I'm not used to that feeling unless I have really eaten a lot. Does anyone ever plan a get together of some kind for interested people? I post on the lap band message board and there are a ton of Texans there. Many get together to talk, etc., and it sounds like a good way to get to know others who have had wls. Anyone else have surgery with Dr. Georgen or Wasco?? Sue 228/212/140

Hi Sue. I had the open RNY on April 6, I also had surgery by Dr's Georgen and Wasco. I am down 12lbs, with a vist on Wed, hoping to be down more. I had great service by their staff and Theda Clark...

Hi Sue, My sister had her RNY surgery done by Dr. Wasco and Dr. Georgen. SHe was very happy with her results and when I started the process for WLS I hoped they would be able to do my surgery as well... unfortunately they were not covered providers for me. I am currently going through the steps to be banded by Dr. CHua in Milwaukee and have my consult with him this Friday. I have met a couple of people at Lapbandtalk.com that are from the GreenBay area... I am in Oshkosh and we have all talked about getting together sometime... we haven't planned anything yet... but hope to especially once I am banded. Do you post at Lapbandtalk.com???? Darcy
