Hello, a member from Michigan told me that people on their board recommended purchasing tongs and big wipes for after their surgery. Have any of you heard of this?

People have recommended the tongs or a pick-r-upper (sp) to use when you need to pick something up off of the floor. Wipes of course are for the bathroom. It is a little hard to reach there, but it also depends on your size. It's dificult to bend over & to wipe. But I did not use either. I had my family pick up anything i needed & the bathroom, well I managed! Good luck! Priscilla -68lbs

My friend who had a lap-band in Feb/04 said to get tongs and use in the bathroom..much easier to reach..I guess. Me, still pre-op but only a week away. I hope it helps for me...hahaha.

Hi... hehehehe. I was given a pr of 'tongs' when I was discharged from the hospital. They are more like a long tweezers, They hold the tissue when your whipinig yourself. I had my surgery 4/6 and am 6 days post op. I've used them once and, they do work. if your self concious about having someone whipe you.
