I have e-mailed before but I thought that there might be someone out there that might be able to help me. I have Aetna PPO, they have two options for their requirements for insurance coverage. a. Physician-supervised nutrition and exercise program OR b. Multidisciplinary surgical preparatory regimen The first one is for 6 months and the second is for 3 months. I would like to know if anyone has done B. the 3 month prep regimen? If you have please let me know what was all involved as far as who you needed to see, how many times a week and if insurance paid for any of it. Now that I have made the decision to have this surgery done, I don't know how I am going to be able to wait for over 6 months. My birthday is at the end of July, this would be a really nice birthday present for myself.!! Thank you for any help!

Hi Renee! If Aetna requires it as a criteria that must be met before surgery....I think they should pay for it!!! That's my opinion, of course, and I'm not the President of Aetna This would definately be a good question to ask the "benefits" person at Aetna! Take care, --Lori B in WV
