Anyone have any experience with....
Hello, I have Dr. Gould as my upcoming surgeon. I submitted all my paperwork in December along with a referral letter from my physician. They could have gotten me in within a week for a consult but my insurance didn't change until January, so I elected to postpone until mid-January. His office told me it would take about 4 months start to finish. Once I had my initial consult with Dr. Gould, he got the ball rolling right away. I had my consult on January 19th, had a psych eval in early February, a cardiac stress test in early February, got my insurance approval in early march, and my surgery is schedule for April 20th. I found Dr. Gould's staff very very helpful and informative. I don't know of Dr. Chaing but I know that Dr. Gould's and Dr. Gerren are very well trained and their program is extensive. Good luck with your decision.
Hi Harley,
I also have Garren and Gould. My whole set-up went even a little faster. I submitted my paperwork the 2nd week of January and saw Dr. Garren the last week of January. Got my approval at the end of Feb. and am scheduled for next Tuesday, March 23rd. It all went pretty quick and smooth - although time seemed to drag these last 3 weeks. I'm not familiar with Dr. Chaing but have heard LOTS of good things about Garren and Gould. I have a fantastic Primary Care Doc. who used to teach at UW medical school. She recommended Garren to me. Good luck on making your choice. Maybe we'll see you around the Meriter support group at some point.
