insurance question

has anyone dealt with unitedhealthcare select? were you approved or denied?

Hi Judy, I have United HealthCare Select Plus. My surgeon sent my paperwork in on Feb. 17. I call UHC every week day and all they can tell me is that my claim is still in review. I just can't handle the waiting. I mean if they were going to deny me why is this taking so long. I have a written exclusion in my policy but am fighting for approval due to my comorbidities. I just want an answer so I can either (a) schedule my surgery date or (b) get started on my appeal. Do you have an exclusion, too? If so and I manage to squeeze through with an approval, I will let you know and this should help when working with them since you will know it can be done. Take care, Rachel Milwaukee
