8 months 21 lbs. HELP!

I go to Dr. Chua's office every month for a fill. After 8 months I've lost only 21 lbs. I feel almost as hungry as before the surgery. There isn't anything I can't eat. I've told his assistant this, she is the 1 that does my fills, but she said she can't fill me anymore than the recommended amount each month. This is costing $300/month! Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Ken! I had lap band surgery. They actually inject a saline solution into the band that is around the top of the stomach. This causes the band to tighten so you feel fuller. EXCEPT I haven't felt any more full now than I did before the surgery. I actually lost 22 lbs. the first 4 weeks and since then have gained 1 back. Very frustrating! Thanks for your reply, Deb

I have no idea what a "fill" is either???? What type of gastric bypass surgery did you have? I agree, 21 pounds in 8 months is not a very good weight loss. What does Dr. Chua say about that?? How can it be that you feel just as hungry now as before surgery?? Do you think the surgery didn't work?? I guess I would discuss this with your surgeon instead of his assistant. I would ask for an appointment to see Dr. Chua. The fact that you have to keep paying also. I don't understand that??? Take care, Traci
