?'s Dr. Chiang/Dr. Burhop Elmbook Hospital
I am in the process of trying to choose a program for my wls. I am from Madison and had the opportunity to attend an informational session at Elmbrook in Brookfield. I was impressed by what sounds like a great pre and post op program.
Is there anyone out there (besides Lori-I've asked her enough questions already LOL) that has had either of these doctors and can give me some feedback? Good, bad and indifferent. I want to know as much as possible before I begin the insurance research for out of network providers.
I'm finding that some clinics have very little support for post-op patients. Are the dieticians you work with knowledgeable about baritatric patients? Do you work with any other health care professionals such as physical therapists? If so, is it helpful to you? How was the office staff? Did they loose paperwork and/or was scheduling appointments a nightmare? Did you have any complications after surgery? Anything you can share with me would be very helpful. If you'd rather email me my address is [email protected]
Thanks for all of your help!

Gail,
Thanks for your feedback. I've heard so many wonderful things about the program at Elmbrook from several post-op patients. What is your opinion of their post-op follow up care? I know they have a support group and I've also heard the staff are wornderful including the dietician. Email me if you have anything to add.
Congratulations on your 100 lbs mark. That's awesome!!!!!

Hi,
I am from Sauk City and have Dr. Engstrand and will have surgery at Elmbrook about the second week of May. I have to do a colonoscopy on the 5th and then send some of the money and I should then get my surgery date. I have done all the evals and one more visit to the dietician two weeks before surgery. I hate the drive to Brookfield it is about 1 1/2 hours one way for me. Don't want to have to go to many times. I am having the banding done. I have researched for eight months and that is the way I will go for surgery. Denise
