Please post your progress
Hi there. No matter where you are in your journey your posts are important for all. I read the main message board everyday and I learn so much. I would enjoy learning from fellow Wisconsin people. Please keep the WI message board going. Good luck to everyone on this journey. We can all learn from each other.
Hi Vicky!
I agree, the posts from people are very important and supportive. I thought I would update everyone on how I am doing.
I am currently 4.5 months post-op (surgery 6-2-03), and have lost 83 pounds and a total of 40. 5 inches from all over my body! I have had my share of adversities over the last few months, but all in all things are going okay.
I eat a lot of turkey and chicken, cheese, milk, and yogurt. I stay away from all sugars and breads, as they do not agree with me. I eat salads once or twice a week, even a slice of pizza every now and then. I do not get hungry between meals because I am taking in water (about 100 oz or more/day). I eat 3 meals a day and no snacks.
I can not exercise yet because of my back, but I start PT tomorrow so am hoping they can get me into some pool walking or other strengthening exercises.
Guess that is all for now. I will try to update more often! Take care,
Traci
Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, been bussy planning my next trip. Any way, I'm working out now, and it seems to be going ok. I have lost 65lbs since 7/24/03. So i think I'm doing ok. Certain foods I still can't take steak, or chicken, and sometimes patties of meat. I hope everyone is successful in there loses. Bobbi-Jo
