Physicians Plus, GHC, DeanCare and Unity HMO

Just to let everyone know that has insurance thru one of the HMO's here in Dane County.....the member advocate at Unity HMO (my insurance) told me today that the four HMO's.....DeanCare, Unity, GHC and Physician's Plus met in July and all have decided once again to NOT cover wls in the 2004 contract year. She has the policy exclusions for 2004 on her desk for Unity that will be sent to the Office of the Insurance Comissioner for regulatory approval and the exclusion remains the same. A set back for all of us who have these "cheap" insurance coverages that will not recognize the benefits of wls. I wonder if these companies will ever wake up to saving people's lives and stop putting the almighty dollar ahead of human life. Very sad situation indeed. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.....Chris
