I finally have a confirmed date for surgery. I will be haven Lap RNY on the 16th of June. If seems like it has been such a long journey, and now its only 2 weeks from this coming Monday. If anyone has any suggestions of things I should do before surgery please let me know. Any help would be appreciated..Thanks again...Deb

Congrads Deborah. I am very happy for you. I am still waiting for insurance approval, but I have faith and confidence that it will not be long now. I to can not wait to say "I HAVE A DATE" and be proud of it. I know one of my main goals before surgery is to find a protein drink that I like. I am going shopping this weekend to start looking for some ideas/samples to try so I can prepare myself for that. I am also still looking for a smaller sized multivitamin to start as well. Whatever you do, don't loose the faith. Best wishes on your upcoming surgery.

YEE HAW!!!! Congrats to you! I can't tell you what to do, but in the last month before my surgery, I will... ...eat at all my favorite restaurants... saying goodbye... ...buy some vitamins... ...sample protein bars & mixes... ...rid my kitchen of things my wife doesn't like and I will no longer want/need... ...buy a "goal-outfit"... ...go through the basement organizing all of my "someday these clothes will fit" boxes, because soon they will! ...strip (almost) naked and take pictures (ick), take all vital measurements so I can track weight loss, inches lost, etc... ...pray

Great News! The next couple of weeks will fly by. Enjoy all your "last meals" guilt free. I had some very nice dinners before my surgery, but there were I couple of things I wished I had. Of course, that would have probably meant 10 more lbs that I would have to lose! Just keep busy, it helps! Again good luck and let us know how you do. Laure, LAP RNY, 9/23/02 down 130lbs.

Congrats Deborah!!!! What an exciting but nerve racking time in your life. Try to sit back and enjoy it. I had Lap RNY in LaCrosse in Jan 2002 and have been so happy with my choice. I made it to goal in 8 months and have been happy and healthy. Good luck!! Stacy Wis.
