Doctor Engstrand
Hi omar88!
Yes, I believe Dr. Engstrand does perform the Lap Band procedure. You can check out their website here:

He performed my DS almost 2 years ago and is an excellent surgeon that I would highly recommend!
I would also recommend researching two more weight loss surgery options that are often overlooked, the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy, and the Duodenal Switch (DS). Luckily, the Bariatric Institute of Wisconsin performs all of these!
I am partial to the DS and the Sleeve (which is the first half of the DS). At 360 pounds, the DS would give you the best chance at losing the weight and keeping it off in the long run. It combines restriction to loose the weight initially and malabsorption to keep it off. It also provides the best resolution of comorbidities, like diabetes and high cholesterol.
Because of our altered anatomies, we only absorb 19-20% of the fat that we eat, essentially making everything we eat "low-fat". Bacon, butter, heavy cream, brats and marbled meats as health food? Yeah! It doesn't even get absorbed in our blood stream. I eat a full fat diet and my total cholesterol is 114.
If you are interested in learning more about the DS, please check out www.dsfacts.com or www.duodenalswitch.com. I would also like to invite you to the DS forum here on Obesity help if you find that you have more questions you can just ask me!
Good luck to you!
Jules
