Hi,
I have moved to Chilton and looking for a doc to take over my case. I had surgery in Dec-09 for RNY.
Anyone know of a decent doc?
Thanks.......Keri

Midwest Bariatric Center/Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah! They did my surgery and are amazing. 920-725-4527. They are a Center of Excellence and their main surgery is the "gold standard" RNY! You'll love 'em!
Peace out!

I went to the seminar for Dr. Wasco with the Midwest Bariatric center and DID NOT like what I saw as far as his interaction with people.

I then followed up with a seminar in Milw. with Dr. Chua from Aurora Sinai Hospital. I absolutely fell in love with his attitude, and to see his interaction with new people as well as with his current/past patients who did testimonials was amazing. You could feel the love, not only from the patients but from him towards those patients! There were patients from all types of WLS there...RNY's, Lapbands, VSG's, etc. He does them all.

He is currently in the process of starting seminars in Sheboygan. I'm not sure how far that is from Chilton, but I would definately look into his services.

I was referred to Dr. Chua by a friend who had her Lap-band done in Mexico 10 years ago before they were legally done here. He took her on as one of his first patients for followup care, about a month before they were even done here in WI. He was the first doc to do the Lapband here in WI.

I can't say enough about him. I look forward to going for my pysch/nut consults in Sept. I can't wait to get my consult with Dr. Chua.

Best wishes!

DO NOT GO TO KEVIN WASCO OR MIDWEST BARIATRIC SOLUTIONS!  It will be the biggest regret of your life.  I had surgery done by Wasco in 2004.  In 2006 I had to have the band removed by emergency surgery.  Since that time I have had 9 surgeries in an attempt to improve Wasco's mess, although my condition will most likely never improve much beyond what it is now.  My husband and I contacted Theda Clark Hospital and made them aware of our situation - they said he is "an independent who they cannot police".  That basically means " we don't care, we already got paid".  There are a lot of great WLS clinics in the area - you may have to travel slightly further, but aren't you worth it?

Dr. Prewitt is in Menominee Falls which is south of Fond Du Lac on Hwy 45.  He has about 6 years experience now.  My family doctor at his clinic does my follow up care.  If Dr. Prewitt won't take you as a patient I know Dr. Ahuja is familiar with bariatric follow up care.  Dr. Ahuja is young but is really good.  Also Stacy the RD at the clinic is really good with bariatric follow up.  She straightened out my low blood sugars and is really smart and nice.  I have found that Advanced Healthcare has great doctors.  When I started going there in 2003 I was an absolute physical mess after 18 months and $100,000 of surgeries and tests at another clinic.  Dr. Miller at AH literally put me back together.  I am off insulin and all diabetes medications and my A1Cs are normal for 4 years this October when Dr. Prewitt did my RNY.  Just recently a foot surgeon at another clinic wanted to remove my toe nail permanently because of infections.  Dr. Schlenz saved my toe and nail.  This may not be important to some people but I like to wear sandals and I swim a lot so it was important to me.  3 weeks ago I was in horrible pain in my right arm.  I didn't sleep for 3 nights.  Finally I went in and Dr. Ahuja and Mike in PT have me pain free.  I guess I would recommend Advanced Healthcare.  Good luck to you, Daisy
