I have a date

I finally have a surgery date of March 10th

YAHOOIE!!  How fantastic is THAT?!  How do you feel about that??

How very exciting!! Mine is Feb. 25th, getting nervous and starting to let myself get excited, I bought the weight loss for dummies (sounds stupid I know) but it's a great help, even some recipies. Good luck, let me know if you need someone to commiserate with!

Thanks Becca, I know how you feel when you say both nervous and excited.  I 've purchased several books on WLS.  They do have some good recipies in them.  I hope they will be appealing after my surgery.  I've read that sometimes your tastes just aren't the same.  Best wishes with your surgery.  I wish mine was sooner but thats the first available date.  It seems that this has been a long journey already but I know I'll have a long journey ahead of me and I look forward to it.

I have the same book and it is very helpful.  Read it basically cover to cover before I decided to meet with the surgeon.   Good Luck!  I am still in the 'getting everything done' mode before they can submit to the insurance.  Had my psych eval, this week is the bariatric dietician and next week the heart.

Congratulations.  My date is February 15th.  Coming soon.  Was shocked I was OKed by insurance so fast-3 days only.  Started full liquids on the 1st.  I just know we'll all do great.

Congrats to all of you.

I got surgery on Feb 15 same as one of yours but not for the RNY I already that on July 28th. I am having open hysterectomy and removal of cysts on both ovaries. So I will be in the hospital a few days then weeks of recovery. I am going to miss Bally's for awhile : (

Congratulations to all of you. I had my surgery on 1/26/10. It was the longest and the shortest 6 months preparing..
