HELLO THERE... I HAVE BADGERCARE-PLUS WITH SECURITY HEALTH HMO... I HAVE JUST STARTED THIS JOURNEY AND WHEN CHECKING IN TO THE INS. PLAN THEY SAID IT WOULD BE COVERED IF PRE-OP GUIDLINES WERE FOLLOWED AND SURGERY PREAPPROVED FROM SURGEON.

I HAVE BEEN ON THIS FOR A FEW YEARS... I HAD TO CALL MY HMO, BUT HEY SAID ALL THEIR CLAIMS ARE DONE PER BADGERCARE STANDARDS FOR THIS HMO... I ALSO HAVE A FRIEND ON BADGERCARE CORE-PLUS, AND SHE IS GETTING THE RNY APPROVED, THE ONLY THING SHE HAS TO PAY FOR IS THE PSYCH EVAL. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!

I have BadgerCare +, and my doctor's office said it would be better if I could keep the straight Title 19 (That's what you are in before they pick an HMO) I had filled out the form and was granted to stay in the straight title 19..They submitted my papers 10/22 and I was approved for a RNY 10/27  I am having surgery 12/2!

how were u able to get just the t19,i had just got a form yesterday stating to pick an hmo, so i called and asked if i had to and they told me i did..I am hoping that United Healthcare of wi. will cover the surgery, at the moment i am going to the seminar tonight, and on the 10 to my nut, then on the 30th i go for the evaluation.. so after that is all done is when I will be switching to the HMO, I am praying that this will go through for I have been trying to get this for many yr's, and have been shot down every time..Maybe I could find out the info on how u went about staying on the T19 maybe I can do the same..

Thxs

If you still have Title 19..it's not too late..
Call 1-800-291-2002 and ask to speak to Wes.
Tell him your doctor is not covered in an HMO, or that you have already started treatment with a dr..
He will mail  you a form to fill out and they will more than likely let you stay on Title 19..
