Hello Daisy,
Can you believe that you are a triathlete now?  I wish I would have seen your post sooner.  I just entered the triathlon for the first time this year.  It was a blast!  Didn't you think the water was cold?  I just bought a new bike too.  I haven't ridden a bike for 30 years.  I got my help from Racine Cyclery.

I did the sidestroke too.  I couldn't time my breathing with the crawl.  My brother, a swim instructor, said the sidestroke was the first racing stroke.

I was at the Danskin at Pleasant Prairie too.  I'm pretty sure I will be doing it again next year.  My focus this year was just to fini****  However, like you, I'm a little competetive, and I would like to improve my time next year.  I can't believe they wrote our age on our legs.  I used the numbers to motivate myself.  If I saw someone a few years older than me, I would peddle a little faster.

I have a Trek bike.  It is a cross between a racing bike and a cruiser.  Until I got this bike, I was practicing on a thirty-year old Schwin.  I can't get over how much faster the new bike is.

I think I added you as a friend.  I'm not sure I did it right.  I haven't been hanging around the Wisconsin site much.

I don't mind the swim or the bike....nice pun by the way.
The run is hard for me too.  I tore the miniscus in both knees, so I had to walk/run the event.  I'm afraid I ran when I knew there was a camera in sight.  I'm too vain to be caught walking, but my knees are paying for it now.

I do need to look into a health club.  I've been using the eliptical and stationary bike to keep my endurance up.
