Psyc eval

I just had my sleep study last night and may likely have to go back. So I am continuing my progress closer to the final approval.

I see a counselor (Psychologist') and discussed the psyc eval with him Monday. He was familiar with the process and has done this before, so he was comfortable signing off that I am ready for the surgery. I also see Phyciatrist for ADD (Attention Deficite Disorder). I saw him today and he said if there is any issue with Surgeon taking the Psychologist's approval he would be happy to do the eval for me.

Now, my question is... should I be happy that they both offer to give the okay for me to have the surgery or should I be concerned??? (lol)

I have to wait until 9/10 for the nutritionist appointment. When that is completed they will submit the information to the insurance for final approval. The insurance warned it could take up to 30 days for approval. I hope it is less. I really need to have the surgery in October so that I can fit it between others time off at work. I have a very supportive boss who is excited for me, but I still need to keep my job and being gone with others out is not a good thing. Mostly it is my co-worker, we share phone support for the computers for our whole company. She is going back to England to see family near thanksgiving and she can't really change her plans. So I need to have the surgery and be back at full strength by then. ...

Still going to meet next week with friend of a friend to help me decide on which surgery to do Lapband or RNY. but getting closer each day. I haven't read books in so long and am trying to read three at once....

Someone pinch me. I'm just not sure this is a dream that I will wake up from soon.

Psyciatrist today even said he hasn't seen me this positive/up beat before....

Sorry for the rambling. Thanks for listening...

Just wanted to say that I hope everything turns out well with your sleep study and all the other tests and studies we have to go thru.  When my doc submitted everything to the insurance, it took about a week and then they went ahead and scheduled my surgery for three weeks later, I was shocked but very excited!!  I hope the same goes for you, that they make the decision quickly and you can have it done.  I took 5 weeks off of work, not that I needed that long but it was nice since I was getting paid for it.  Oh, I had the lapband done.  I started at 242 and want to get down to about 150, so far I've lost 41 lbs.

Best of luck!!  Check out the Lapband board and the RNY board for additional information and support!
