Anyone having lapband?

I am still waiting for my surgery date, but I should be having the band done in the next 2 months sometime. I am only waiting on a letter of support before I meet with my surgeon and get my date....I would love to talk with anyone who will be having or has a band. :)

I don't know much about the band. Had RNY almost 5 mos ago. Hope your support letter comes quickly. Good luck on your journey.

I had RNY too - I considered the Lap Band for awhile, but decided RNY was right for me. Good luck on getting your date! Did you check out the Lap Band Forum here?

Hi,
I don't come to the Wisconsin board too often. I'm usually on the lap-band forum. I was banded 3 weeks ago. So far, Everything is going well. Where do you live in WI? I'm from Sheldon. In NW wisconsin. My doctor is in EAU Claire.

I'm strongly considering the lap band myself, and am working on the process to get approved for surgery, too.
