About to weeks ago I feel down about five steps at the Bradley Center. Whacked my right leg pretty hard on the metal stairs. Earlier this week the bruise was just around the point of impact. Now the bruise goes from the point of impact to right below the knee all the way to the side of my foot. I don't know what made me fall my son who was walking in front of me said that the stairs were slippery I myself cant remember.  An EMT asked if I was good or if I needed treatment.  I said I was alright which I was except for a little pain  in my right leg. Well it was sore for about  5 days and I could finally put weight on it flat footed(I had been walking on the side of foot cause the inside of the right leg hurt when I would walk flat foot.  Well a week had gone by and the bruising set in just around the point of impact just below the knee and now the bruise is moving down my leg a little farther each day it ha**** my foot now.  I have not been to doc but will be going tomorrow to have it checked out.  Depending on what my doc says will determine if I try to take legal action if they have to do surgery I will for sure start the legal proceedings.

I think if you would have went to the doc either that day or the next but not a week later and did you notify the Bradley Center that you hurt yourself on their property? Just my 2 cents

hmmmm.....not really sure what your "legal proceedings" will be?  You, yourself  "don't remember" what caused the fall.  You had an EMT check you out and you refused treatment telling him you were "alright".  If in fact it was soooo bad that you were unable to walk without "pain", then why didn't you go seek medical attention right away?  And just a little side note for you on bruising, a bruise is blood that pools at the sight of an injury caused from little tiny broken blood vessels that happen whenever there is some sort of trauma to any given area (whether the trauma minor or major).  When the blood pools to any given extremity, given some time, with gravity the blood moves down making your "bruise" move down as well.

I truly hope that your not injured.  But I also don't believe you have any legal case for this fall.

Thank you for responding.  My wife and I had talked about and she basically told me the same thing. I did get it checked out had an ultrasound done of the whole leg and there was no blood clot which is the best news I heard. Now I just had xrays yesterday to see if there is any kind of fracture cus I have a history of broken bones in the same leg. I pretty much figured I didn't have a case because I waited so long. and refused care that night but it didn't really  start hurting until the next day. Heres the thing I don't get though it did not bruise up for a week after. Now I think I tore some thing in my knee also I believe I twisted after I started to fall or just after so my knee is feeling weird also. But had all kinds of x-rays yesterday just  have to wait for the results from them.
