Traveling to Milwaukee
First time posting, but i am wondering if anyone else has had a problem traveling to get to consultation's. The problem being that my husband who is getting the surgery done. Has edema on both legs that makes it hard for him to walk let alone drive from Beloit to Milwaukee. I unfortunately don't drive. I have thought about calling a cab but the price would be extremely high. My fear is if we don't get him up there to have his surgical consultation's and other appointments his edema will get so bad he will not be able to go anywhere at all. I appreciate all suggestions.
Sorry, not near Beloit but I would ask the Doctor's office if they have any suggestions, patients coming from your area, etc... Maybe they can hook you up with someone. It would be ashame if you couldn't get in. What about a family member, neighbor ??? Or a medical Transposrt van? I would talk to your surgeon and see what they suggest. Good Luck to you and your husband.

I'm not sure which doctor you are seeing, but I know our doctor (mine and Shari's) will make sure you can schedule multiple appointments with dietician and psychologist on the same day so that you aren't running back and forth all the time. They helped me out a great deal with this because I live over an hour away. The medic transport is a great option. Check into it and good luck!
