I have a surgery date!!!
I found out yesterday that I finally have a surgery date. BTW, if anyone is waiting around for their insurance verification, don't be afraid to call. My insurance company was acting fishy about when they actually recieved the info from my dr's office, and I think that was the huge delay in what took soooooooo long.
But surgery is June 4th. I was hoping for it to be in May, but June is close! I have decided to look into getting help from Weigh****chers as I buckle down and prepare for surgery. I have a 15 pound recommended weight loss prior to surgery, and I want to make this as successful as possible. I have 6 weeks to get ready, and these 6 weeks include my birthday, my finals, my parents anniversary party, memorial day, and a bunch of stress! But with the help of my loved ones, I can do this!!!
I will keep you all updated!

You are so close to sitting on the losers bench with the rest of us.
I would highly recommend that if you have any favorite foods that are high in sugar/fat/calories, then now would be the time to have your last meals.
It is not that after surgery you will eat bland foods, but you will never know the effects some of the foods my have on you. I do not dump unless it is a load of sugar, but my wife will dump on a mini ice cream cone. Not that she should be eating ice cream regularly, but a taste every now and then is fine but she just can not tolerate it anymore.
The good thing is that you will most likely find that your tastes have changed and your desire for some of the wrong foods will diminish.
Good luck with your surgery and you will be in good hands with Dr. Wallace!
