I made it to the Aurora Mt. Sinai seminar with Dr. Chua last night! One step down, many to go. :) 

I called my insurance company to start the approval process, then my doctor's office, and got a bunch of paperwork done today.  I also added about 9 goals to my goal list based on what I learned last night. 

Congrats on taking that first step, it's always the hardest!  I had Dr. Chua and loved him and the staff at both Sinai and his office.

Congratulations for taking that first step!  It's a tough road, but well worth your life in the end!  I'm sorry I couldn't be there last night. It is a long road.  I also am close to the end. The paperwork was sent to the insurance company today and it is just a waiting game now.  Did you ever check into Dr. Jandali at the Kenosha hospital?  That is who will be doing my surgery.  I live in Pleasant Prairie.

I had my orientation in early Jan 2009. I am finally approaching the 5th month soon. So only 2 more months. Then I can finally see Dr Chua then it goes to the insurance company for approval. I hope it don't take to long. I do have state insurance and have hmo of United health care-T19. I hope me losing 41 lbs now is not effect the insurance company decision. If it wasn't for the phentermine from my weight management doctor I don't think I would of lost this many pounds already. I have been on them since January 2009. To me it seems to be a very long process. The time is just dragging on and on.
