How can I apply for Disability
I am a 22 year old over weight (I weight around 330 pounds) and my back brothers me and I am no longer able to walk around as well as I once could.
I need to apply for mediciaid but I in order for me to get it I either have to be disable, blind, have a child, or under 19 or 65 or older. None of which I am, however, my weight has made it hard for me to walk around and I can no longer stand for long periods of time.
How is it done in Wisconsin to declare a disability?

Jassy,
Please don't allow yourself to get into the I am disabled mindset.
I hope you went back to school second semester. I think I suggested you check in with the University Hospital to see if they have an obesity treatment program. If you remained in Milwaukee contact behavioral health clinic at the former Sinai Campus of Aurora Find out if you have clinical depression and get that treated.. Start going to OA groups to find out why you need this weight. It really is not your enemy. It has protected you for years and it might be the right time to release it. Try and get seen by an exercise physiologist to see what you can do to strengthen the back muscles.
You have a wonderful full life ahead of you. You also have the ability to reverse the old eating patterns. Concentrate on getting to 325, then 320, small goals maybe two pounds a month. Maybe today you can change one thing (for me it would be avoiding Kopps Custard for you maybe it is Pepsi or chips) Just leave that edible alone one day, and then a second day. Be patient.
I don't know if you a person of faith--if so remind yourself that God loves you totally whatever your weight. Ask Him for the strength to start feeling better. Girl Love Yourself! God doesn't make junk
We all edged up on that scale overtime, it just takes a bit more time to do the opposite. You can do it. Blessings!

Just want to encourge you... It took me 6 years to finally get approved for surgery. I had insurance through the state and they kept saying NOPE!!! So trying to get that insurance to approve you is a waste of your time. Stay focused and keep trying to lose on your own until you can find a job that may perhaps cover your surgery. I know exactly how you feel with your pain.. but take one step at a time and you'll be alright!!
