HELP!!!   The past three days I have been out of control with cookies. At work, home. I have to say no and since I tried one I feel like I want more. I just threw out a plate we had of them at our house from a relative. Has this happened to anyone else? Today I had about 5-7 and yesterday at work I had 6-10 all good sized cookies. I swear I'm done!!!

Shari-

It happened to me at work.. someone there bought in chocolate covered pretzles & someone else brought in pepperidge farms entertainer's selection of decadent shortbread & chocolate cookies... & PUT THEM ACROSS FROM MY DESK!! The cookies are lower in sugar than most & not too big, so of course I didnt dump when i ate one, that led to 3 & 4.... forget it with the pretzles... i love pretzles & am trying hard to break that addiction.. crunch, salt, doesn't hurt the pouch... problem with pretzles is that most women where i work love them too!! so here are always bags of pretzles out & about..

instead of sitting  & eating at lunch time, i now go to our companies gym most days of the week.. 25 mins of intense cardio has helped me... But i do feel guilty & am afraid I've opened pandora's box!!!!

It appears you have found what is called a "trigger food"!  The only way around this problem is to not have them around.  In your home (if you have the support of your family), eat one and throw the rest out immediately or at the very least get your family members to find them away.

When at work, water load instead of eating any of them.  The water will trick your pouch into feeling full.  The only thing you will face then is the brain which you can control by looking at a picture of yourself at your heaviest and realizing it is cookies and other things that put you into that shape.

If that does not work, then get up and go for a walk.  Keep them out of your sight and keep drinking water!

I know the feelings you are having but you have to remember all that you have sacificed to get to the point you are at today.

Thanks for the good ideas. Today I told my family if you want any of these cookies that relatives gave us take them now and hide in your room or they're all getting tossed. Needless to say we're all trying to eat healthier and over half the cookies were pitched.
I had a good day today and wasn't tempted to even lift the foil and look. I think you hit the nail on the head,   I found a trigger food that I need to stay away from. My sz. 6 jeans won't fit if I keep this up and that is something I don't want to happen : )
Thanks for the support all!!!  Happy New Year to All of us

Shari! I'm OD'ing on the caramel corn! I ate almost 4 cups throughout the day yesterday! I had to get rid of it, so I brought it to work!  People will eat everything you put in the lunch room!  I don't know what the deal is, because I haven't even gone through the holiday cravings! It's out of my house, out of my hands, and now on someone elses hips!

Just say NO lol....  I dump on sugar so there for Ive been able to stay away from all the cookies and things wandering around our clinic.  I do have some sugar free candy here that doesnt have that many calories i found them at a health food store, I can usually have 1 square after that i get a very bad stomach ache if i have any  more, so it keeps me from eating to much of that stuff... i dont enjoy it like i used to.  Knock on wood i have not hit a trigger food yet. Have a great day take care.

I'm doing better. Got all the crap out of the house and just like Lois took it to work and placed it in the lunch room. They eat anything!!! : ) Out of sight out of mind. Back on track for the most part.
Love those Fiber one bars. Think I also need to buy less of them. They do help me go though that much i can say.
Happy New year all.
